Copenhagen Breakfast/Brunch Places
Ah you Aster!
One of my newest discovered places in Copenhagen, in my favourite neighbourhood Frederiksberg.
The minimalistic, simplistic, clean-style space is just one of the highlights. Their food is absolutely delicious, all gluten-free and vegan.
It is super cute, cozy and as we say in Denmark hyggelig to go for a date with your friend or just work there. They have also very nice selection of vegan cakes that are blast not only for your eyes but also for your taste buds.
Café Atelier September
Artisan café. Purity of artistic space. Simplicity of food. Centre of Copenhagen. Your must-stop for breakfast or lunch while in the city wandering in Kongens Nytorv area..
The intro was pretty descriptive, what else to add? Maybe just that if you are fan of light-roast specialty coffee or wanna take a picture of the city’s most photogenic avo-toast this destination will serve you well.
Wulff & Konstali
Not only brunch and lunch place, but food deli shop, bakery and beautiful interior to enjoy yourself while eating their 7-course brunch every day from 9 to 3pm.
Besides brunch you can choose from sandwiches, fresh salads, freshly squeezed juice, brewed coffee and homemade pastry. Either you decide to stay or take away, you will not leave disappointed.
Four location available within Copenhagen - Ama, Hellerup, Islands Brygge and Nørrebro. And if you really fall in love with their food, there is their new brunch cook book ready to purchase as well ;)
There is a nice history about this place which makes it even more special. Paludan started as a combined bookstore and publishing place that provided students with books at reasonable prices. The bookstore was in many ways depending on the students who would come back. Later, once opened as café the experience of the good book store within a cozy environment became united.
Located in the classic student neighbourhood in city's soul where the cathedral stands behind the university library. Very vibrant, lovely place.
Can be very hard to get a table there and they, unfortunately, don't take bookings, unless 7 people and more. Go there right when they open, to make sure you got your spot. During the lunch and afternoon it might be impossible.
Always wanted to try Swedish country kitchen? Then this is your place just in the heart of Copenhagen.
The stove is busy here. Sounds of hissing and bubling. Menu full of choice will leave you indecisive because it is just too much of what you want to try. Pancakes are there to shine. But don’t worry, sandwiches, soups, salads, dishes to share and much more are there to experience too. Meat, vegan, vegetarian options - you are picking.
Simple things mixed together with love and care, your senses are overwhelmed.
As they claim themselves - for a leisurely breakfast, fuel for city wandering, cakes and dessert for footsore shoppers, sundowners for the night ahead, or cocktails for spontaneous dance floor moves. They are open from morning until late night. Kalaset is Swedish for party. And they truly aim to make every visit a little celebration. Big fan of this place.
